Ellen Goldsmith, L.Ac., came to the field of Asian medicine after
receiving treatment from a Japanese Shiatsu master and the subsequent study
of macrobiotics. The great personal rewards in health that she
benefited from spurred an ongoing inquiry into the philosophy and practice
that she pursued through further study and apprenticeship. She
fulfilled her Chinese medicine study at the National College of Natural
Medicine in the Classical Chinese Medicine department in Portland, Oregon
where she received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine
(M.S.O.M.)
While having an extensive background in movement and
movement therapies, giving her deep understanding of pain syndromes, Ellen
Goldsmith seeks to help patients move from pain to a pain free life.
Ms Goldsmith’s practice incorporates acupuncture, dietary
therapy, Chinese herbs, stress reduction, Shiatsu, and Qi Gong, as well as
a strong commitment to providing the resources necessary to support
each person’s path to health and wellness.
Her particular
interests are:
- The treatment of pain syndromes (pain, sports injury and motor
vehicle accidents.
- Fatigue
- Women’s heath
- Dietary counseling. Working with people to transform their diets
to support energy, focus and health.
- In addition to a thriving practice, Ellen enjoys her family as
well as cooking, gardening, dancing and traveling.
